1. How does the
course work with the Alpha course?
We have found that The Marriage Course works
as both a good lead-in and lead-out of the Alpha course. We find some couples will come on The
Marriage Course and then decide that they want
to explore more about the Christian faith. We
also find that people who have done the Alpha course then go on to do a marriage course to strengthen
their relationship.
2. Should I mention the Alpha course during
the talks?
We mention the Alpha course at the start of
session seven. Having talked about the difference
seeking to have God at the centre of our marriage
has made for us, we say, if you are interested
in exploring more about the Christian faith together
or on your own there is a course very similar
to The Marriage Course which is called the Alpha course. It is run over 10 weeks and is open to
anyone. The main difference to The Marriage Course
is that after the talk there are discussion groups
when you can talk about any issues that arise
and ask any questions you have about the talk
or Christianity generally. We make sure there
is a pile of Alpha invitations at the back for
people to take on their way out. |
